🔍 About Fivestars Marketing
Founded in 2012, Fivestars Marketing is a digital reputation management agency working with an international network of real-world testers and reviewers across 28+ countries and languages. With a core team of just four employees, we plan and execute international review and product testing campaigns, helping companies build a stronger, more credible online reputation across relevant review platforms and online marketplaces.
1. The Challenges
Before Gologin, we faced quite common, yet no less serious challenges for almost any reputation management team:
- Managing a large number of isolated browser profiles, each needing to represent a unique, consistent device identity for different client accounts and projects
- Maintaining stable, long-term browser identities for customer accounts across 28+ countries – any inconsistency risked exposing client accounts to detection or restrictions
- Losing significant time recreating and troubleshooting profiles with fingerprint inconsistencies instead of focusing on actual client work
With previous solutions, we often had to delete newly created browser profiles and recreate them from scratch. With Gologin, we create a profile once and can rely on it to work consistently over the long term. That saves us significant time and reduces risk when managing client accounts.
2. Previous Solutions
- Before Gologin, we tested several well-known anti-detect browsers: Dolphin, AdsPower, Incognition, and OctoBrowser
- While they generally worked, fingerprint inconsistencies were a constant problem – requiring constant profile deletion, recreation, and manual checking
- We spent significant time verifying profiles before using them with client accounts, and even profiles that passed initial checks often had to be rebuilt weeks later
❓ What Didn’t Work?
- Fingerprint inconsistencies. With every tool we tested, 7–8 out of every 10 newly created profiles contained fingerprint mismatches or configuration errors. This made it impossible to rely on profiles long-term without constant re-verification.
- Constant rebuilding. We had to regularly delete profiles and set them up from scratch. For a four-person team managing 700 clients a year, this was a serious drain on time and resources.
- No long-term stability. Even profiles that looked fine initially often drifted over time. We couldn’t trust that a profile configured today would still work correctly next week – which created ongoing risk when managing client accounts.
3. Looking For New Solution & Choosing Gologin
- We tested several well-known anti-detect browsers over an extended period: Dolphin, AdsPower, Incognition, and OctoBrowser
- All of them provided similar core functionality, but none delivered reliable, consistent fingerprints at scale
- We ultimately chose Gologin combined with SOAX residential proxies for stable geographic identity per profile
💡 What made you choose Gologin over alternatives?
- Fingerprint reliability. Gologin delivers significantly more consistent browser fingerprints than everything we tested. With previous tools, 7–8 out of 10 new profiles had issues. With Gologin, it’s around 1 out of 50.
- Long-term stability. Profiles we set up properly just once now work indefinitely – no re-checking, no rebuilding weeks later.
- SOAX integration. Combining Gologin with SOAX proxies allows us to lock each profile to a stable geographic location and consistent IP – something previous tools couldn’t do reliably.
✍🏻 Time for some criticism
- We’d love more detailed information on how individual fingerprint values are generated and what factors are considered when creating a profile
- Automated quality checks for newly created profiles before first use would save additional time
- Expanded bulk action options for editing, grouping, and reviewing large numbers of profiles would be very helpful
4. Implementation & Results
- Fingerprint inconsistencies dropped from 7–8 out of 10 profiles to ~1 out of 50
- We now save approximately 10 hours per week – around 40 hours per month
- That translates to ~€600 in labor cost savings per month (at €30/hr)
- We serve 700 clients annually with a core team of just 4 people
✔️ Some Performance Estimates
- We save an estimated 5–10 hours of work per week that were previously spent checking, troubleshooting, and recreating faulty profiles – approximately 20–40 hours per month
- Based on internal costs of €30/hour, that’s roughly €600 saved in labor costs every month
- The Gologin subscription pays for itself through just a small fraction of the time saved – estimated ROI of several hundred percent
- We currently serve 700 clients a year with a core team of just four employees
Gologin has significantly reduced the manual verification effort involved in creating new profiles. We now spend much less time dealing with technical issues and can focus more on managing our projects.
5. The Outcomes
Can you consider Gologin an integral part of your current workflow?
- Yes, absolutely. Gologin has become an essential part of our daily operations. Without it, managing client accounts across 28+ countries at our current scale would simply not be possible with a team of four.
How do you feel after switching to the new solution?
- Very positive. Gologin provides a much more reliable browser fingerprint, significantly reduces setup issues, and enables more efficient work with lower account risk.
What is the key metric you would name as the before-after result of using Gologin?
- Fingerprint inconsistencies before: 7–8 out of every 10 new profiles
- Fingerprint inconsistencies now: ~1 out of 50 profiles
What’s one surprising thing Gologin does that you didn’t expect?
- We were surprised by how reliably the profiles remain consistent over extended periods. With previous solutions, we often had to re-examine or completely recreate profiles later, even after an initially successful setup. With Gologin, profiles that have been properly set up generally work indefinitely without further adjustments.
