Today, as part of our series of comparisons, we will look at a multiple account browser quite popular in the Russian market – Octo Browser. This browser was created by a team from Belarus in 2020 and has since become quite famous in the post-Soviet world of marketing and advertising.
TLDR: we’ve gathered the main points of comparison into a quick table for you.
Octo Browser positions itself as a universal antidetect browser for managing multiple accounts on any platform. This is exactly what is stated on the main page of their website – browser for multi accounting. There is quite a lot of different information there, which may confuse a newbie user. Nevertheless, the site and the browser itself look quite modern and promising.
But is Octo browser worth buying for business in 2024? Does it really work for managing any kind of multiple accounts? In this article, we’ll give an Octo Browser review, look at the features and rates, and compare it to GoLogin.
What is Octo Browser? Features and usage nuances
Universal software for managing multiple accounts on any platform and for any business: it’s a pretty big statement. There are dozens of completely different usage scenarios in different business areas. Each of them – for example, Facebook paid ads, crypto airdrops hunting on Coinlist, marketing database for an SMM agency – requires completely different things from the browser.
We will run through Octo Browser download and install, test all features available and try to mention important and curious nuances of work that Octo offers.
Disclaimer: Octo team doesn’t offer a free plan or a trial period, even if you personally request an Octo Browser trial period in the support chat. We performed our tests on the Starter plan (29€). This plan, as you will see later, has quite a few limitations even for our simple evaluation.
First impressions
If you have ever used an antidetect browser, you know that most of them are terribly outdated on the interface side. The main screen of a typical antidetect is overloaded with all sorts of settings, banners, buttons and switches.
Things are not bad with Octo: the browser looks surprisingly clean and does not cause rejection. However, at the first login we didn’t see any tooltips or tutorial steps for new users. Nevertheless, Octo is quite intuitive and easy to learn – at least if you know what you’re going to do there.
There is a “Learning Center” section with good documentation and even detailed video instructions in English and Russian. We found these tutorials clear enough for a new user to understand the basics of account management.
Creating profiles and setting up proxies in Octo is quite easy. Most of the important fingerprint settings have an auto mode. Work with proxies is a separate page, and in the Profile table you can only arrange saved proxies to your profiles.
Here’s what surprised us: on Starter plan (29 euro for 10 profiles) you can add only 1 (one!) proxy server. Once again: on this plan all your 10 profiles will work from under one proxy, or with no proxy at all. On all other plans, the number of proxies is limited by the number of profiles.
We still don’t understand why the test plan has a limitation that exposes the accounts of inexperienced users to the danger of being blocked. You get the Octo Browser free download, but it seems dangerous to continue, especially if you are not tech-savvy.
On the whole, we found the Octo browser’s interface to be pretty good, but it turned out that simplicity means a serious compromise with functionality. We’ll show you how later on.

Comfort of use
Let’s face it: Octo is a poor fit for managing a large number of profiles. Mass actions (working with cookies, bookmarks, extensions) are almost non-existent here, as well as mass launching. This is critical for affiliate, paid ads or crypto, where you sometimes have to operate hundreds or thousands of profiles.
There is also a complete lack of organization into folders or categories. The lack of folders is exactly the case when the simplicity of the browser plays a bad role and complicates the work, especially for teams.
Instead of folders, Octo offers to work with tags only. At the same time, tags are limited in number for some reason, and they are very expensive as well. For example, the Base plan for 79 euros offers to use only 10 tags, which is nothing for any marketing agency or affiliate team.
In general, profiles in Octo start and stop quite quickly and without any problems. To warm up profiles, you can run a cookie robot, which will collect cookies from the specified list of sites in the background. However, we were not able to check if it works without using third-party services.
At the time of the test, the Octo browser only allows you to import cookies. You can view, delete or correct cookies only through extensions or third-party sites.

A unique feature of Octo – Profile Templates – is placed up top in a quick access page, next to Profiles and Proxies. Unfortunately, it was not possible to test them: Templates are unavailable on the Starter plan, you’d have to buy a more expensive one to use these.
Still, we need to mention Templates are a really convenient and useful feature: GoLogin team is also planning to add Templates feature in the nearest future.
One more thing, which is not a problem, but rather a weird nuance – Octo does not minimize to the tray when closing. Several times we accidentally closed the main browser window while profiles were running, and all Octo windows were closed at once. To us, such a simple thing as a tray icon helps to secure the user’s work from accidental losses and stops.
Mobile devices and fingerprints
An important point in terms of convenience is remote access from different devices. Unlike GoLogin, Octo offers neither mobile nor web versions for remote work. You won’t be able to install Octo Browser Android app. In 2024, this is already a serious limitation: many browsers already offer mobile apps, and GoLogin even has a full-on web version with cloud-based profile launch.
We should also note the lack of mobile fingerprints. If you’re running TikTok or another mobile platform, being unable to use Octo Browser iOS fingerprint this can be a critical point for you. Most alternative browsers, including GoLogin, have already had mobile fingerprints for a long time.
Both Octobrowser and GoLogin allow users to run the account from any number of devices.
Support and updates
You can see Octo updates right in your browser under the bell icon next to the settings. They don’t come out very often, but it should be noted Octo team keeps a good eye on the Russian-language chat and responds to users quite often. An English-speaking community is there as well, but it’s relatively new.
Tech support also responds quite quickly – both in the Octobrowser app and in Telegram. During the test we didn’t encounter any technical problems, so we can’t say how quickly they are usually solved.
At the time of the test, Octo is only available in Russian and English. This doesn’t seem a problem, considering that most Octo Browser reviews come mostly from the CIS space.

As part of our review, Octo successfully passed the Pixelscan and Iphey fingerprint checkers. Octo, like any other alternative, will be enough for personal anonymity needs.
However, the lack of a free plan with at least one profile hints that Octo is not intended for this purpose. We have encountered a Octo Browser promo code online that promised free access in a review article. However, while we were testing Octo Browser, we were unable to find a promo code that was working. We do not recommend looking for an Octo Browser crack online as this might lead you to dangerous malware.
GoLogin browser is a good alternative to Okto browser
At first glance, Octo Browser seems quite similar to GoLogin in terms of overall functionality and interface. However, unlike Octo, under the simple and minimalistic interface GoLogin contains much more powerful functionality.
GoLogin is well suited for both solo use and professional teams of any size due to its affordable prices and more advanced functionality.

Features and comfort of use
Both Octo and GoLogin have an intuitive and clear interface that is quite friendly to new users. However, under the hood GoLogin has a completely different level of features. Simple controls are connected to a lot of advanced settings and features.
Unlike Octo, GoLogin has:

- Mobile app and web version with cloud-based profile launching
- Two-factor authentication (2FA) for enhanced account security
- Profile Folders with access for partners

Here’s a simple example of the major differences between the two browsers: GoLogin allows you to customize the view of the profile table to your liking. Unlike Octo, GoLogin has a web version, which can be accessed from any of your devices. From there, you can launch and edit profiles without a computer: they will work on a safe cloud server. GoLogin is also available as an Android app.
For comparison, you can download Octo browser only for Mac and Windows, as well as for Linux in beta version.
Support quality
The support team quickly responds to all user requests and tries to help in any situation. GoLogin managers conduct user campaigns to collect customer feedback and suggestions, making browser updates as relevant as possible.
In their feedback GoLogin users ofter say their problems were solved by chatting with the team or through browser updates.

Updates frequency
The GoLogin team updates the browser quite often and does everything necessary to keep user data safe and take user needs into account. Updates are automatic: you just need to restart the browser.
Clients often praise GoLogin for the stable profile work in 24/7 mode without downtime. The stability factor is often the reason why users move from Octo Browser antidetect and other alternatives to GoLogin.

Octo Browser vs GoLogin – Pricing
Free plans and trial periods
An important point for a large number of users: Octo browser pricing offers neither a free plan nor a trial period. You can’t test the Octo browser free. To see how Octo works, you will have to pay at least 29 euros – and still face a lot of restrictions.
On the 29 euro Starter plan, profiles, proxies, profile templates, tags, team access – in general, almost everything is limited. For an agency, affiliate team or a crypto manager, such a test would be a total waste of money.
GoLogin offers both: forever-free plan for 3 profiles + trial of paid features for 7 days with no restrictions when registering an account.
Paid plans
If you are self-employed or run your own company, you know very well: business software must pay for itself, and it must pay well. Therefore, price is the most important consideration when choosing a commercial browser, especially at the team level.
Let’s take a closer look at the paid plans and prices of Octo and GoLogin, and calculate the costs taking into account different scenarios and scales of work. For the sake of objectivity, we’ll consider a monthly payment option, but we’ll also take into account discounts for paying for a longer period.
Personal use
Octo’s first paid plan (Starter, 10 profiles) will cost you €29 per month. Roughly speaking, almost nothing can be actually done on this plan. All the features are so limited that we simply can’t consider Starter as an option for any kind of work. It’s only suitable for personal anonymity needs.
The second paid plan (Base, 100 profiles) costs €79 per month. A similar GoLogin plan (Professional, 100 profiles) costs $49 per month. That’s more than half the price. GoLogin does not limit the number of proxies and tags, and also gives a week of free trial for testing.
Octo offers a more flexible discount system: if you pay for 3, 6 or 12 months, you can get a discount from 10 to 30%. GoLogin offers a discount only for a yearly payment, but it compensates with a generous 50% discount. This makes the price difference with Octo even greater.
Team plans
Octo’s team plans (Team and Advanced for 350 and 1200 profiles) will cost you €169 and €329 per month. This price level already raises very high expectations for software for absolutely any kind of business.
GoLogin offers much cheaper plans that include more seats and options for the team. Business and Enterprise (300 and 1,000 profiles) will cost you $99 and $199. GoLogin ends up costing more than twice cheaper again.
GoLogin also offers more options in its plans, even without the annual subscription discount. The prices already include 10 and 20 team seats respectively, unlike the 3 and 8 affiliate seats in Octo’s pricing plans.
We were not able to compare the top Custom plans: unlike GoLogin, Octo does not give prices for more profiles. Keeping in mind the sheer price difference for standard team plans, we doubt running a large team on Octo will be profitable.
So, GoLogin has a more fair price-quality ratio. Evaluate your company’s budget and consider how much you’re willing to pay for the software without the ability to check the ROI.
If you are already working with Octo – try the GoLogin test period and simply estimate how many accounts survive in the first and the second browser. This is the metric that most often reflects how expensive is the antidetect for your work.
