How to Pass the Iphey Browser Fingerprint Check (Step-by-Step)

Has it ever happened that you had a website open on your browser, then you went to turn on a VPN, came back to the website, and it wasn’t loading anymore? Or has a site asked you to solve a CAPTCHA to access the website? That happens because websites can detect when you are trying to hide your location.

Websites run anti-fraud checks in the background that check your device fingerprints for inconsistencies or potential risks. These checks can reveal changes you have made to your device fingerprint.

As soon as you land on the website, the Iphey test starts on its own, and within seconds, you get to know whether your fingerprint is trustworthy or has issues.

The point of using Iphey is to know how your fingerprint looks to the websites that you visit and whether, based on your fingerprint, they’ll let you access the website or block you from doing so.

Like I mentioned earlier, if a site is blocking your access and you can’t tell why, you can run a test using Iphey to figure out what exactly is making your fingerprint untrustworthy.

Iphey scans all the browser and device fingerprints that a website checks and displays the values of all of them, along with pointing out which exact parameter(s) could be causing issues.

A fingerprint is untrustworthy, usually due to the inconsistencies present in it or due to it being too unique from a typical fingerprint.

Inconsistencies can arise from a mismatch between your IP address’s timezone and your system clock’s timezone or other parameters of your fingerprint. A fingerprint can be unique if you’re using unique browser extensions or the ones that block website scripts from running, or some other unique settings.

You have to avoid both these scenarios. Your fingerprint should look normal and score “Trustworthy” on an Iphey check.

Who Uses Device Fingerprints, and Why?

Websites scan your fingerprint because it is a unique identifier of your device.

A fingerprint is built using a combination of dozens of your system settings. Sometimes the number of individual parameters used to build a fingerprint can exceed 100, too.

Some of the major parameters include:

  • Public IPv4/IPv6
  • General location attached to IP
  • User agent string
  • OS version
  • Screen resolution
  • Installed fonts
  • Time zone
  • GPU parameters
  • WebRTC

If you separate these parameters from one another and take them individually, they cannot uniquely identify anyone on their own.

For example, plenty of users can have the same screen resolution. Even unique signals like IP addresses or cookies cannot be used on their own to identify someone because IPs can be easily changed using a VPN or proxy, and cookies can be deleted.

This is why websites combine dozens of such data points to make a globally unique fingerprint for someone. Once a website has built a fingerprint for you, it can precisely track you. Making a slight change to your fingerprint can cause inconsistencies or uniqueness issues and lead websites to block you for being suspicious.

Users Who Change Their Device Fingerprints

However, some users naturally have to use settings as part of their work, which can change their fingerprint.

For example, e-commerce managers may need to manage multiple accounts on an e-commerce platform like Amazon or manage a single account from different locations. Since most platforms prohibit such activities, the e-commerce managers have to use a different fingerprint for each account to make it look isolated, among other solutions.

Marketing agencies managing dozens of separate ad accounts and data scrapers using automated bots also have to edit their fingerprints to stay under the radar.

But the question is, how do these professionals manage to stay under the radar after faking their fingerprints when a slight change in fingerprint can be detected?

Let’s demonstrate that using an example.

Here’s the result of an Iphey check of my browser on normal settings. It says that my fingerprint is trustworthy. My browser, hardware, software, location, and network parameters all had positive values.

Now I’ll activate a VPN using a browser extension that will mask my original IP with an IP from a distant location. For the record, I connected to a VPN server from Dallas, a city in Texas, US.

Let’s rerun the test. You can do this either by reloading the website or pressing the Restart Test button.

The Iphey test failed. It now says our digital identity is unreliable, and the issue arises from location. Under Location, it says Click here to see. Pressing this takes you to the bottom of the page, where all parameters are displayed along with their values.

Under Signals, you can see that Iphey has detected that we are trying to hide our location.


But how could it tell? It likely compared the timezone of my new IP (Dallas) with the timezone of the system clock and found a mismatch.

In the screenshots below, you can see my real time zone compared to my IP’s time zone. Both are different.



This is just one of the many ways your fingerprint can become inconsistent if you rely on traditional tools that can only tweak certain fingerprint parameters.

On the other hand, an antidetect browser allows you to edit your entire fingerprint and remove inconsistencies. Let’s discuss how that is done.

Iphey Detects Most Antidetect Browsers by Name

Using an antidetect browser is certainly not a sure-shot way to pass the Iphey scan test, and this is something a lot of people out there do not realize.

Iphey can detect a lot of popular antidetect browsers, and it can even tell you which antidetect browser you are using to bypass fingerprint scan.

Now, just imagine what will happen if you’re actually doing your work. If a fingerprint testing tool like Iphey can tell that you’re using an antidetect browser, then platforms like LinkedIn or Amazon, which spend far more on detection, can very likely do the same.

Other testing tools like Pixelscan.net or Whoer.net sometimes detect bad hardware values when you use an antidetect browser, but they don’t get this specific. Iphey pointing out that the exact browser is rare for this kind of tool.

So the antidetect browser you choose matters, actually. Speaking of antidetect browser, let’s show you how you can actually pass the Iphey test using Gologin.

How to Pass Iphey Browser Fingerprint Check Using Gologin

Iphey recommends antidetect browsers as a solution to avoid being detected even if you’re faking parts of your fingerprint.

And among antidetect browsers, it recommends Gologin.

So let’s use Gologin and use a proxy and run the Iphey test to see if it really works.

Here are the steps:

1. Download Gologin for your operating system

2. Launch Gologin after installation

3. Press Add profile

4. Name your new browser profile

5. In the proxy tab, select Gologin proxy, or if you have proxies from a 3rd party proxy provider, select Your proxy and enter the credentials. I used Gologin’s built-in proxies, which allow connecting to a bunch of countries. For Country, I chose France, and for Proxy Type, I chose Residential.

6. Click Create Profile

7. Click Run to launch the newly created profile from the list of profiles. A browser window will open, similar in look to Chrome.

8. Head to the Iphey.com website and let the test complete.

You can see below that the fingerprint has been deemed Trustworthy by Iphey despite the fact that I was using a French proxy without being physically present in France.

But how does Gologin achieve this? Why weren’t there any inconsistencies like before, when we used a VPN through Chrome? Because Gologin changed all relevant parameters based on the IP.

When you visit websites, they run scripts to collect information about your device, software, and hardware.

When Iphey came to fetch the timezone, geolocation, preferred languages, and WebRTC, Gologin returned values based on the current IP, not the original IP.

That’s why Iphey couldn’t detect any inconsistency.

It also changed the language as well as WebRTC based on the IP.
