Today, as part of our series of comparisons, we will look at an antidetect browser from Romania – Kameleo Browser. It has a specific approach to antidetect technology, offering fingerprints for several browsers in unlimited local browser profiles.
However, almost all other features (cookies, teamwork, automation) are still extras here, and they get really expensive. We’ll have a detailed look at what Kameleo offers. Also, we’ll count the costs and see if it’s worth investing money for business in 2024.
TLDR: skip to the end for a quick table with main points of comparison.
Kameleo is not really a big fish on the market, but it’s been around for a while. It positions itself as a stealth browsing platform. This means it’s not an antidetect browser in a classic meaning. The site and the browser itself look quite outdated, but Kameleo’s different approach to the matter is quite curious.
Disclaimer: Kameleo team doesn’t offer a free plan or a trial period, even if you personally request it in the support e-mail. The team seems to understand the limitation for potential users, but still offers refunds only.
How Kameleo Works: A Different Approach
Instead of cloud-synced virtual browser profiles, Kameleo antidetect browser offers an unlimited number of local profiles. Same with Undetectable browser, it offers to protect your browsing with unique fingerprints and various browser cores.
These include Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari and even Microsoft Edge browsers. There are no cloud profiles like in most other antidetect browsers.
This approach immediately puts Kameleo into a segment people that are more tech-savvy than others. Most of the new users need to just launch the accounts, not adjust fingerprint and browser core settings. If you’re one of these people, Kameleo isn’t the best fit for you.
There is a “Support Center” section with adequate documentation and even some videos. They look a bit old, but informative. We found the Kameleo tutorials clear enough for a new user to get the basics of how it works.
Mobile App and OS support
One of Kameleo’s key marketing features is its Android app for protected mobile browsing. For many people working with multiple accounts, mobile app support is crucial as it simply allows to not be tied to a computer.
However, Kameleo’s mobile app support is an extra option, available only with a middle-tier Advanced plan and higher. A month of that for 1 user will cost €89 (€113 with VAT). Yes, the pricing does not inlude a +27% VAT.
In 2024 it’s difficult to imagine a marketer paying that much for an app without a test. Let’s get back to pricing matters later on.
As for the OS support, here’s another nuance: Kameleo supports Windows only. That immediately cuts off a significant part of the world using MacOS.
First Impressions & Comfort Of Use
Let’s face it: Kameleo won’t fit if you’re not too technical. It is definitely oriented on more tech-savvy people who are well aware of how browser fingerprinting works.
The interface of Kameleo (desktop version) will be familiar to anyone who has ever used an antidetect browser before. It’s quite outdated, but there is a standard side panel with menu and a profile table, which makes it intuitive enough.
However, from that point on, it’s all manual controls.
For example, for every profile you need to manually choose a fingerprints from the database which contains millions of device configurations. This reminded us of Undetectable browser that uses a similar mechanism. It’s even a bit easier with Undetectable, as some fingerprints are already pre-chosen for you.
A choice like this might look great for a privacy enthusiast, but it will be overwhelming for a regular user.
Talking about use comfort, you will also have to manually type in your Kameleo proxy credentials. Filling the fields with random numbers is a routine most users would like to avoid.
Mobile Devices And Fingerprints
Talking about convenience, remote work from different devices is a crucial factor. Both GoLogin and Kameleo offer mobile apps for virtual browser profiles. However, you can download Kameleo for Android only after buying a middle-tier plan which is $124 a month. We’ll get back to pricing in the end.
An important nuance is that Kameleo mobile app should be used only together with the desktop app. This might be connected to Kameleo storing profiles only locally, which would make app sync quite difficult. The Android app can’t work separately from the desktop. This is a bummer for people who want more mobility traveling, or simply are Mac users.
Kameleo also has a strict limit of account use: every license can be used from 1 computer only.
Mentioning mobile fingerprints, Kameleo browser offers these as well. Creating profiles with iOS and Android systems can be important if you work with TikTok, Instagram or another mobile oriented platform.
Kameleo offers both Android and iOS fingerprints. However, mobile fingerprinting is available only starting from middle-tier Advanced plan.
Support and updates
We have not met technical issues during our tests. However, Kameleo is known for its slow support: this fact is mentioned in many product and client reviews. Being quite an expensive niche tool with no free plan or trial, this is quite surprising.
Talking about updates, that’s another area where Kameleo is a bit slow. There’s not much going on in the release notes and communities.
Kameleo’s own Chromium based browser was released only a couple months ago. This is very far behind most modern antidetects that have been working on their own cores for years.
GoLogin: A Better Kameleo Alternative
Reminder: this is a biased review. We try to stay objective and talk facts and numbers. Still, we encourage you to always do your own tests and calculations. and choose what fits you better.
To keep it brief and straight, GoLogin antidetect browser is years ahead. Visually and technically, these two are on different levels, although GoLogin is cheaper. It has advanced use settings, newbie-friendly UI and great mobile apps for remote work. Both Android and web app are able to work without laptop.
GoLogin is well suited for solo use, small team, automation and literally any other use case. It has affordable prices and advanced functionality, but stays simple to learn and operate daily.

Updates frequency
GoLogin team updates the browser several times a month. Constant updates are crucial for a good antidetect, as data protection is a constant cat and mouse game. GoLogin does everything necessary to keep user data safe and take client feedback into account. Updates are automatic: you just need to restart the browser.
Clients often praise GoLogin for the stable profile work in 24/7 mode without downtime. The stability factor is often the reason why users move from other alternatives to GoLogin.
Let’s move on to plans and pricing.
Kameleo vs GoLogin: Counting Costs
Free plans and trial periods
Kameleo browser does not offer a free plan or a trial period. You simply can’t get a Kameleo free trial, and we have not found any Kameleo coupons for test period.
To see how Kameleo works, you will have to pay at least €75 for Basic plan with VAT included (that’s $82). The team promises refunds, but it’s a difficult choice with competitors offering free trials.
GoLogin offers both: forever-free plan for 3 profiles + trial of paid features for 7 days. No credit card needed.
Paid plans
We’ll look at the paid plans of Kameleo and GoLogin, and count the costs of different scenarios and scales of work. For objectivity, we’ll consider a monthly payment option, but we’ll also take into account annual discounts.
Personal Use
Kameleo’s first paid plan Basic is €59. In cart, 27% European VAT is included, so it quickly turns into €75: that’s $82 a month.
GoLogin’s first paid plan (Professional, 100 profiles) costs $49 per month.
That’s about half the price. Kameleo offers unlimited local profiles, but everything else is extremely limited. GoLogin offers a full feature pack + free trial with no restrictions.
Both vendors offer long term discounts. Kameleo offers a 15% discount for a 6-month payment. GoLogin offers more with a generoud 50% discount for an annual payment. This makes the price difference even greater:
A year of Kameleo Basic plan: 598€ excluding VAT and €758 with VAT (that’s $831)
A year of GoLogin Professional plan: $294.
Verdict: GoLogin comes out 2.8 times cheaper.
Middle & Top Tier Plans
Disclaimer: we can’t call Kameleo upper plans “team” because they are not meant for team use. In Kameleo, adding a member doubles the price. Also, any paid license is limited to use from one device only. On the contrary, GoLogin accounts can be used from any number of devices.
Kameleo’s middle and top tier plans (Advanced and Automation) will cost you €113 and €252 per month, VAT included. That’s $124 and $276 a month. These plans include things like mobile app, mobile fingerprints and cookie management. The top tier plan includes API access and automation options.
GoLogin’s middle and top tier plans (Business and Enterprise with 300 and 1,000 profiles) will cost you $99 and $199 a month. No fine print, no VATs, no feature restrictions, team seats included.
A year of Kameleo Advanced plan: €898 excluding VAT and €1,140 with VAT (that’s $1250).
A year of GoLogin Business plan: $594.
Verdict: GoLogin comes out more than 2x cheaper again.
We were not able to compare the top Custom plans, as Kameleo does not provide one. Keeping in mind the price and feature differences, we doubt any bigger sized team will try Kameleo as an alternative.
Already using Kameleo? Maybe it’s time to reconsider and get more while saving your budget! Feel free to try the GoLogin 7-day trial period.
