# Private vs Shared

### Private Proxies

Private proxies are assigned to a single user.

They offer:

* better speed
* higher reliability
* lower risk of IP bans

Private proxies are recommended when managing accounts in Gologin.

### Shared or Free Proxies

Shared proxies are used by multiple users at the same time.

They are usually cheaper but may have:

* slower performance
* higher risk of blacklisting

There's a chance of using the same proxy on the same website with another proxy user, keep that in mind for account management.
